Flights from Birmingham to Marrakech

Birmingham is a strong Midlands option to Marrakech: three direct airlines, a Jet2 package footprint and Ryanair UK’s low-cost pricing. No easyJet from BHX, but the other two low-cost carriers keep fares honest in shoulder seasons.
Airlines and departure airport
Direct flights leave from Birmingham Airport (BHX). Three airlines run the direct route:
- Jet2 - the fullest schedule, package or flight-only, year-round.
- Ryanair UK - low-cost strict, typically two to three times a week.
- TUI Airways - mostly package holidays, some flight-only in low season.
Royal Air Maroc via Casablanca offers a one-stop option, but rarely competitive on price from Birmingham.

Reckon on 3 hrs 35 to 3 hrs 45 direct, close to London flight time. Departures usually run once a day per carrier in high season, cutting back in shoulder seasons - check the schedule before you fix your dates.
Prices and best time to book
Shoulder-season low-cost returns typically run £90 to £180, with Ryanair UK usually cheaper than Jet2 on flight-only. Jet2 package (flight + hotel) starts around £350-£450 for a mid-range week including hold bag and transfers.
Peak windows land at £200-£350 low-cost during February half-term, summer school holidays and October half-term, and £280-£450 over Easter and Christmas. Book two to three months ahead for peak windows.

Once you land
Marrakech-Menara Airport is about 5 km (3 miles) south-west of the medina, 15 to 25 minutes by taxi. Bus 19 runs to Jemaa el-Fna for 30 MAD every 30 minutes, the official taxi flat fare is 70-100 MAD (£6-£8) in daytime, and many riads offer a private transfer.
