Liverpool has emerged as a solid Marrakech option for the north-west since easyJet added the route. Two low-cost carriers, tight schedules and prices that trade with Manchester depending on the week.
Airlines and departure airport
Direct flights leave from Liverpool John Lennon (LPL). Two airlines run the direct route:
- easyJet - year-round, though frequencies dip in winter.
- Ryanair UK - typically two to three flights a week in high season.
For a one-stop option, British Airways via Heathrow works but rarely beats direct from Liverpool on price or total time.
Flight time
Reckon on 3 hrs 40 to 3 hrs 50 direct, close to Manchester. The choice between LPL and MAN is really about which airport is easier for you - Liverpool is often faster to reach from central Liverpool, the Wirral and North Wales.
Prices and best time to book
Shoulder-season low-cost returns run £90 to £180, easyJet and Ryanair UK trading depending on the week. Peaks land at £200-£350 during February half-term, summer school holidays and October half-term, and £280-£450 over Easter and Christmas. Book two to three months ahead for peak windows.
