London is by far the most connected UK city to Marrakech: five airports, six airlines direct, and low-cost competition that keeps shoulder-season fares low. Whether you’re after the cheapest ticket or the shortest transfer to Heathrow, there’s a routing to fit.

London airports on the route

Five London airports run direct to Marrakech in the 2026 schedule:

  • London Heathrow (LHR) - British Airways (Terminal 5, mostly one weekly rotation) and Royal Air Maroc (Terminal 4). LHR is the only direct LHR-RAK; other carriers use Gatwick or a regional airport.
  • London Gatwick (LGW) - the widest choice: British Airways, easyJet, TUI Airways, Wizz Air UK and Royal Air Maroc. If you want options on dates, this is the airport.
  • London Stansted (STN) - Ryanair UK (the cheapest headline fare) and Jet2, plus Royal Air Maroc.
  • London Luton (LTN) - easyJet and Wizz Air UK, both low-cost.
  • London Southend (LSA) - easyJet only, useful for east-London residents.

Six airlines total on the direct route: BA and Royal Air Maroc as the two full-service carriers, easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair UK, TUI Airways and Wizz Air UK on the low-cost side. TUI runs mostly package holidays; the others sell flight-only.

Flight time

Reckon on 3 hrs 20 to 3 hrs 40 direct, one of the shorter UK routes to Morocco. Departures run from early morning to mid-evening, so you can choose between arriving in Marrakech in time for lunch or after a work day.

Distance is 2,277 km (1,415 miles). A one-stop routing via Paris, Madrid or Casablanca roughly doubles the door-to-door time.

Prices and best time to book

In shoulder seasons (mid-September to end of October, and mid-January to early February), a direct return typically runs £70 to £150 on the low-cost carriers, £120 to £220 on British Airways Standard, hand-baggage only. Wizz Air UK often lands cheapest of all when you don’t need a hold bag.

Peak windows push the fare hard: £180-£320 low-cost during February half-term, summer holidays and October half-term, and £250-£500 over Easter, Christmas and New Year. Book two to three months ahead for peak windows.

Baggage fees matter more than the base fare on Marrakech routes. easyJet charges £6-£35 online for a large cabin bag and £48 at the gate for an over-sized cabin bag; Ryanair caps out at about £70 for gate oversized. Add cabin and hold bags to the basket before you compare tickets - a £30 headline can become a £120 fare.
