To link the Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef medersa and the Jardin Secret without walking for hours or haggling a taxi, the tuk-tuk is unbeatable: this small motorised three-wheeler threads through the medina alleys where the taxis do not go, and you string the sites privately.
It is a discovery mode of transport, not a guided tour: the driver comments along the way, but they are not an official guide, and monument entries are usually not included - budget for that if you want to see the interiors. Most formats pick you up at the hotel, and many add a pastry tasting, sometimes a small gift.
A detail that matters: in Marrakech, tuk-tuk licences are reserved for drivers with disabilities. Booking means backing a local job - one more reason to prefer this mode of touring, and the point of the formats that trade on that social angle.
From £12, this is one of the cheapest ways to cover a lot of ground. For the same urge to see the town differently, the vintage side-car plays it premium, and the medina also runs by e-scooter or by bike.
