Marrakech by e-scooter: medina and monuments
The gentle way to cover the centre: an e-scooter, silent and petrol-free, to link the big monuments without wearing yourself out. On a guided city tour, or in the off-road version to thread through the medina.
Walking the Marrakech medina wears the legs out. Covering it by taxi means missing the point. Between the two, the e-scooter has found its slot: standing on the deck, silent and petrol-free, it links the big monuments without wearing you out or polluting.
Two formats. The guided city tour - EcoScooter type - meets at the Sofitel esplanade and heads for the Koutoubia, Jemaa el-Fna, the souks, Guéliz and the Menara gardens, guide up front. The off-road version rides on fat tyres to thread through the medina: more playful, it goes everywhere.
Either way, you ride in a small, supervised group, helmet on, with photo stops at the viewpoints. This is the gentle way to take the measure of the town in one to two hours - and save the legs for the souks. For adventure on the nature side, the same scooter runs beyond the walls, off-road in the palm grove.
