Our verdict
The Palais Ronsard belongs to the small circle of Marrakech addresses affiliated with Relais & Châteaux, and that sets the level upfront: that of a house that looks after everything, decor and service, with the standard attached to the label. It is a Palmeraie palace, theatrical and assumed, where marble meets black lacquer, crystal chandeliers and large white bouquets, in a pomp spirit closer to the collector’s home than the bare riad. The twenty-seven rooms are decorated one by one, rich fabrics, four-poster beds, salvaged furniture, each mostly opening onto the garden. You enter a set, and that is the house’s stance.
The estate is built so that you take your time. A pool stretches through a palm-planted garden, lined with sun loungers in the shade of the parasols, and a large spa extends the stay with hammam, sauna, rest room and a full treatments menu. Several tables cover meals on site, in the logic of a place where you can spend several days without going back on the road.
