Water parks in Marrakech
A reliable family bet in summer. Direct at the gate, especially at Oasiria with its free shuttle, the day comes in much cheaper than the transfer pass, which only earns its price if you want the whole thing bundled without a car.
When the heat climbs, water parks are the simplest family outing. Marrakech has three big ones. Oasiria is the best-known: on the southern edge, Amizmiz road (15 to 20 minutes from the centre), it lines up around ten slides, a lazy river and Africa’s largest wave pool, all set in ten hectares of gardens. Aqua Fun, on the Ourika road, is the biggest for slides, aimed at thrills. Aqua Mirage, on the Tahannaout road, zones its pools by age - handy with young children.
All are seasonal: they open roughly April to early November, daily, from about 10am to 6pm. On weekends and peak summer, better to arrive at opening to enjoy the slides and grab loungers. Bring swimsuit, towel, sun cream and cash for snacks and lockers. Food is on site, but it is not included in the ticket.
On budget, let us be clear: direct at the gate, a day at Oasiria comes to about £23 per adult - and the park offers a free shuttle from Jemaa el-Fna and Guéliz. The bookable-online pass with transfer costs £65: about three times more, purely for the comfort of hotel pickup. It only earns its price if you want a bundled day with no logistics. Otherwise, on-site entry is by far the cheapest call.
