Some hotels are hard to catch out, and the Longue Vie is one: across thousands of reviews, no score of its drops off, not a single line lagging. That is rare enough to start with. Behind it, a contemporary 4-star on avenue Hassan II, ninety balcony rooms, and on the roof an infinity pool that watches the city and the Atlas.
Everything plays out on the sixth floor: that is where the pool and the bar catch the light and the view, and where most of the photos brought back from the stay come from. Downstairs, the address does the rest of the work: the station right next door settles arrivals and departures, and you park your car without paying, uncommon around here. The spa, the gym and the tables round out a house where the essentials are already on site.
What you do not find here is a choice, not a flaw. The Longue Vie is a frankly modern hotel, clean lines and today’s comfort. Old character is not its register. Its quarter, on the edge of Guéliz and Hivernage, between the station and the main axes, is practical more than picturesque. Its success has a simple consequence, the hotel fills up fast in season.
